Boston Archdiocese Charismatic Renewal Services director, Romanus Ajaero reported our monthly Leaders Assembly meeting with this email:

Today Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the monthly gathering of the Leaders Assembly of the Charismatic Renewal Services of Boston Archdiocese, new Council members and newly elected Ethnic Leaders were commissioned by our Spiritual Director Rev. Fr. Michael McNamara. Prayers were offered for all including the outgoing Council & Ethnic Leaders. It has been an evening full of Spirit and social filled events.....a lot of food đźĄ‘🥝 & drinks.
To God be all the glory.

Our meeting started as normal with leaders of the various ethnic prayer groups greeting each other as we gathered in St. Mary’s lower church in Waltham. Maria and Roque Pena unified the group with a rousing series of praise songs. In song we called on the Holy Spirit to ignite our spirits and cover us.

Romanus noted that during his two years attending national charismatic conferences, he has learned that Boston is unique in collaborating the prayer groups of eight ethnic communities. There are many Hispanic, Brazilian, Haitian, and Vietnamese prayer groups and these English language groups: Anglo, Nigerian, Cameroon, and Ugandan. Amazingly the rhythmic praise-leadership drew all into unity, thanking and glorifying God.

Romanus gave thanks to all who have served and helped to spread the Gospel through CRS-Boston. And he recognized that many have suffered over the years while offering this gift of service. He recognized these â€śwounded warriors” for the Lord. But we have persisted. In the words of Saint Paul, “My grace is sufficient to deal with thorns in the flesh.” And our woundedness enables us to minister to others who are suffering.

This was to be a joyful evening recognizing and commissioning newly elected council and ethnic leaders. Two new council members from the Brazilian (Sister Valeria) and Nigerian (Rev. Sr. Christiana Onyewuche) communities were first called up. Father Michael McNamara, our CRS-Boston Spiritual Advisor prayed and laid hands on them to commission their roles.

Then past officers and leaders were called up in recognitions and to receive prayer of thanksgiving. This resulted in a large group who came forward to receive a thanksgiving blessing from Father Mike and the entire gathering.

Romanus then invited us to partake of the lavish platters of food sponsored by Bro. Romanus, and the Cameroonian community. In true Christian style we came together as the Boby of Christ in the breaking of the bread.
