2025 CRSB FAMILY ANNUAL FIESTA

Reported by Michael Emeka Ihionu

The CRSB annual fiesta was held on August 2 at the Our Lady of Fatima Shrine
101 Summer St., Holliston, MA. This will go down as one of the best of its kind in recent memory with almost all the ethnic communities well represented.  The weather for the day was beautiful, and the atmosphere was gorgeous. The setup was done early, thanks to all hands-on deck to set the tone for the day’s event.

The Fiesta started with Holy Mass at 10.00 AM. After the Mass, The Director of CRSB, Bro. Romanus Ajaero welcomed members and guests, and declared the fiesta open. Food drinks, and other delicacies were on hand, and were served.  Various ethnic foods kept pouring in, that at the end, a lot was still left; all thanks to the generosity of all groups.

Bro. Bob Hartman, a veteran Gospel musician, entertained participants with soul-moving, and glorious tunes to the applause of many present.  He was followed by the Holy name of Mary and Jesus musical group from Immaculate Conception Parish, Revere led by Bro. Oscar Calderón.  The group electrified the arena with heart-pumping Gospel tunes. Their performance was awesome.

Bro. Roque Pena, a familiar face in the CRSB musical events, and his group were next. Their Gospel music rendition brought almost all participants to their feet. The atmosphere was charged with angelic presence of the Holy Spirit in the arena.  Roque himself, a prolific dancer led the Gospel music and dancing with holy enthusiasm.  It was quite a joyous moment of the Fiesta.

The Power of Prayer Charismatic Renewal of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Dorchester (known as the Nigerian Community) group led by Bro. Mike Emeka Ihionu was next to perform.  It added a different dimension to the rich cultural diversity of the CRSB with local musical instruments, to praise and worship the Lord.  It was all dancing, praising, and glorifying the Lord. Bro. Raphael da Silva from the Brazilian Community, also played some Gospel tunes to the admiration, and applause of participants.  Bro. Roque and Bro. Oscar and their groups came back and continued entertaining until the end of the event.

The CRSB Director, Bro. Romanus gave a vote of thanks and declared the event closed at 3.00 PM.   We are grateful to all who took charge, and made this year’s Fiesta a huge success it was: Sister Valeria Almeida, who coordinated the Fiesta; Bro. Romanus Ajaero, the Director, Bro. Juan Zapata, Sister Linda Willet, the indefatigable CRSB Secretary, who also manned the CRSB Booth at the arena, Sister Diane, Bro. Mike Marraffino of the CRSB Media Team, Bro. Manuel, Bro. George Willet, and others who helped in one way or the other.  May God bless you all.
