We thank David Brooks for organizing a Lenten Day of reflection for Boston area prayer group members and people open to Life in the Holy Spirit. More that thirty people were welcomed at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church in Chestnut Hill Saturday, March 11, 2023. David and members of the Chelmsford Prayer group provided a lavish breakfast of fruit, pastries, and coffee for all early arrivals. This set a tone of warm fellowship which drew us together throughout the day.

The program began in the lower church chapel with an hour of sung praise and word gift led by Matteo Filippi, Janice Filippi, Audry Filippi, and Chris Muise. Their engaging leadership led to a beautiful unified time of praise and rejoicing. Several people offered prophetic words which the music group echoed in response. We then had three short talks on Evangelization, Spiritual Warfare, and Encouragement. Janice Filippi, Romanus Ajaero, and Louise LaRose presented good examples from their experience and gave Scriptural support in these teachings. The assembly then divided into small discussion groups to share how these lessons were experienced in their lives.

Father James Erps, S.J., St Ignatius' Pastor offered Mass and reflected on the Prodigal Son Gospel by Luke. Lunch and fellowship followed.

We then gathered in the chapel for a time of Eucharistic adoration and sharing in the large group. Finally Romanus Ajaero and Janice Filippi offered prayer of empowerment and encouragement to each attendee. Our closing songs for the day included the traditional Tantum Ergo and Holy God We Praise Thy Name.

Jeannine S sent these comments on last Saturday's day of reflection by CRSB.

I attended CRSB's Lenten Day of Reflection in the downstairs of St. Ignatius of Loyola Church in Chestnut Hill this past Saturday. I found it to be a powerful and enriching day. Breakfast and lunch gave me the opportunity to meet many nice people.

There was the usual introduction by the director as we ate breakfast. Then we went in Lannon Chapel. Matteo and his team did such an outstanding job of leading us into praise and worship. It set a prayerful and reflective mood for the rest of the day.

We prayed with each other in 2s for 15 minutes. Then, Janice, Romanus, and Louise gave brief but excellent talks. Their stories, testimonies, and witnessing encouraged and built me up! They shed new light within me! The small group sharing in 3s gave me a new perspective.

I usually go to Mass on Saturday morning and I thought I would miss Mass. To my great delight, we had Mass in Lannon Chapel. After lunch, we returned to Lannon Chapel for adoration and the Lord continued to fill me up! There was a large group sharing. After that, Romanus and Janice gave an individual prayer of empowerment. We had our final song and it was already time to go! I thank the Lord for all He has done for me. It's events, such as these, that make all the difference!

God bless
