CRSB NEWSLETTER ~ April 2019
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As Easter approaches during this Lent season and many of us fast, pray, and confess, let us reflect on this verse:
“This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:9-11
John reminds us of the very essence of Lent which is his love for us. The Father sent his Son. The Son in communion with his Father, laid down his life for us. Even in the saddest moments of suffering, he has not denied us. At all times he has consoled us and become bound to us as he did for Veronica. He let himself be broken to make us whole. During this time of the year which is one of the two greatest moments celebrating Christ, are you going to let the lord put his seal on you? In 1628 the child Jesus appeared on Mount Pichincha in Ecuador. He place a crown of thorns on his own head and said “I can do no more to show my love for you”. What are you going to do for the advancement of the kingdom of God? Would you allow him to make you whole?
Here’s what’s been happening at CRS Boston since our last newsletter:
CRSB Christmas Celebration:The underlying thread of our Christmas celebration was REJOICE. In fact on Dec. 27that St. Mary’s in Randolph, MA we were transported to the city of David. There we participated in a grandiose ceremony led by Father Robert Carr and included different charismatic groups, music, plenty of good food, singing, a live nativity and joy. Best of all friendship and love took over the atmosphere!
2019 January CRSB Council Retreat: was held on Saturday, January 5 at the Immaculate Conception church in Malden. Blessed and led by Father Robert Carr, it was more than a retreat. The gathering felt like a transformative experience with family. Being able to be in the presence of the Holy Spirit in this way felt like a true blessing.
CRSB Healing Services: Healing services were held by the CRSB Healing and Deliverance Ministry, under the direction of Romanus Ajaero, first at Immaculate Conception in Everett on Nov. 17, 2018. The speaker for the evening was Maria Pena. The next healing service was held on Feb. 16, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Holliston with a talk by Nancy Marraffino. The theme for this service was “Untie him and let him go” John 11:44.
